Readers' and Writers' Workshop

I am totally geeked! I am taking a week long grad course on, you guessed it, The Readers' and Writers' Workshop. A huge part of literacy is writing fluency, which the Writers' workshop builds. Also, we must keep in mind that every time we write, we build new connections between our brain cells. Amazing stuff.

I will have to report on it as the class rolls out.

I just made my first purchase from Amazon.Com. Alanna, I thought you might be proud. I think as a literacy teacher, this might be a procedure that I should get used to. But let me tell you, it was scary. We'll see how it turns out when I get my new text book in the mail here at work.
